Siân Lewis is that rare commodity: an author who is truly bilingual and who understands what it is for young people to live and work in two languages. Creator of Billy Jones, the celebrated dog star, as well as numerous other entertaining characters, Siân has a magical way with words. She won the Tir na n-Og award in 1997 for Cities in the Sea, illustrated by Jackie Morris.
