Gillian Clarke
Gillian Clarke was born in Cardiff. She is a poet and playwright as well as an editor and translator. Gillian enjoys teaching creative writing, and has worked with young writers - of all ages! Her poetry is studied by GCSE and A Level students throughout Britain, and her work has been translated into ten languages. She has a daughter and two sons, and now lives with her architect husband on a smallholding in Ceredigion.
The National Poet of Wales has contributed to a number of Pont collections, including ‘Thoughts Like an Ocean’, ‘Second Thoughts’, ‘Welsh and Proud of It!’ and ‘Poems of Love and Longing’.
